Is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. That lines up well if you want a roomy three-row SUV with straightforward everyday usability. With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in day-to-day use, especially for families who want something they can count on for space and comfort. For used shoppers, that suggests lower emotional risk, though you should still inspect any individual example carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 156 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,820 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $37,820 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,946 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Traverse has become more accessible to used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, the softer market means you may not recover as much as owners did a year ago if you buy at today’s average. Even so, a well-kept Traverse should still appeal to shoppers who prioritise space and comfort in a three-row SUV. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,243 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,820 CAD average.
• It is a practical, space-first three-row SUV for buyers who do not need extra capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,804 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $37,820 CAD average.
• It adds more standard driver aids and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want strong owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a roomy family SUV. If price is your top priority, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the newer design and added features.
