Is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and that lines up with the model’s strong appeal for spacious interior room, comfort, and a pleasant driving experience. It also stands out for families who want generous passenger and cargo space, plus straightforward usability in a very large three-row crossover. The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in everyday use, with comfort and practicality that owners can count on over time. For long-term ownership, you should still weigh the model’s mixed class reputation against its strong owner satisfaction.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 147 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,270 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $38,270 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,540 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be grounded in the model’s current market position rather than last year’s higher pricing. Strong demand for roomy family SUVs can still support values, especially when the vehicle is well kept and priced realistically.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,482 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $38,270 CAD average.
• It offers broad family practicality with easy everyday usability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,314 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $38,270 CAD average.
• It adds more space and a more modern cabin.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a roomy family SUV without paying 2024 money. If your priority is saving upfront, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want the newer design and upgrades, the 2024 is the step-up option.
