How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu cost?

There are 270 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu earns a 5/5 user rating, and it fits well if you want a roomy, value-focused midsize sedan with a larger back seat, sleeker styling, and a practical cabin. It also brings a standard eight-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus standard active safety features such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and forward collision warnings. For shoppers who want a practical family sedan without paying a premium, that mix of space, style, and affordability is a strong fit. 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Malibu is described as more sophisticated than the car it replaced, but its overall appeal is tempered by a mixed reliability record. That means you should pay close attention to maintenance history, condition, and any signs of deferred upkeep when shopping used examples. For long-term ownership, the main risk is buying a car that has not been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Malibu?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 270 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.97% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,116 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu's resale value?

The current average of $21,326 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,504 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Malibu has softened in the used market, which can make it easier for you to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current pricing trend points to steady but not especially strong retention. A lower entry price can help offset some depreciation, especially if you buy well and keep the car in good condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of this Malibu generation with current-market pricing and a strong user rating, the 2023 is the primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2023 already offers a compelling mix of value, space, and equipment for the money.
