Used 2023 Cadillac Escalade for Sale nearMontreal, QC

How much does the 2023 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 10.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 101 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, elegant design, and comfortable ride. The cabin’s stylish presentation also comes through in the feedback, along with a sense that the vehicle delivers the kind of upscale presence buyers want in a full-size SUV.

The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and some interior materials that feel cheaper than you’d expect at this price. For you, that means the Escalade makes the most sense if you value space, comfort, and technology more than outright driving polish.

With 26.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with drivers highlighting its comfortable, trouble-free ownership experience and strong long-term appeal. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the Escalade as a well-rounded luxury SUV with solid capability and a mature, proven platform.

Its standard 6.2-litre V8 and truck-based layout suggest it is built for durability and heavy-duty use, while the available diesel adds another long-haul option for buyers who want smoother torque delivery. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about living with expensive luxury-SUV ownership if maintenance or repairs are needed.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac Escalade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxury trim uses leatherette upholstery, while higher trims add richer leather combinations and more upscale cabin details. The base trim also misses some of the more premium visual and material touches that help the Escalade feel special.
• Powertrain: The standard 6.2-litre V8 makes 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and Cadillac also offers a 3.0-litre Duramax turbodiesel V6 with 277 hp. The V8 is fine for relaxed cruising, but it can feel underwhelming when you want stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a Safety Alert seat, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera, lane-departure warning, lane keep assist, and a rear seat reminder. Reverse emergency braking is optional, as are Night Vision and Super Cruise.
• Infotainment: The Escalade uses a large OLED screen layout across the dash, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. Super Cruise is optional, and it adds hands-free highway driving.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard 4WD V8 sees a combined 15.0 L/100 km, while the diesel is rated at 10.5 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade is offered in 5 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport, and Sport Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Escalade’s core appeal: huge presence, strong tech, and standard safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the nameplate and the basics without chasing the most expensive trims.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top of the range. If you want the Escalade experience with a better balance of equipment and price, this is the trim to target.
• Premium Luxury Platinum: Choose this if you want the richest cabin presentation and the most luxurious feel. It suits buyers who care most about interior ambience and premium details.
• Sport: This trim leans into the darker exterior treatment and a more assertive look. It’s the right pick if you want the Escalade’s presence with a more aggressive visual character.
• Sport Platinum: This is the most lavish and visually distinctive version, combining the Sport look with the highest-end equipment. It’s the one to buy if you want the fullest expression of the Escalade’s luxury and style.

The standard safety and driver-assistance package is broad across the range, while Super Cruise, Night Vision, and reverse emergency braking remain optional.

• Inventory: There are 101 listings available.

What is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $95,476 CAD sits slightly below last year's $107,244 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Escalade has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier for future sellers to attract attention if the vehicle is well kept. At the same time, the softer market means you may not recover as much as owners did when prices were higher.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety and driver-assistance features include forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a Safety Alert seat, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera, lane-departure warning, lane keep assist, and a rear seat reminder. Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Escalade’s standout technology, including Super Cruise and the sharp OLED screen layout.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $80,713 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $95,476 CAD average.
• It offers strong tech and multiple powertrain choices.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better pick if you want the latest version of this generation with strong tech appeal and a softer used-market price than last year. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the smarter value play because it delivers much of the same core Escalade experience for less.
