Used 2023 Cadillac Escalade for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2023 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 10.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 101 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.8/5 from owners and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its luxury, elegant design, and comfortable ride, and they also like the stylish interior and the absence of accidents. In practical terms, that lines up well with the Escalade’s role as a full-size luxury SUV for shoppers who want a commanding presence, lots of space, and strong tech appeal.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the interior materials can feel cheap, and the base engine is underwhelming. Even so, the market shows 30.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Escalade’s comfort and the confidence they feel in it over time. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the vehicle as a strong, established full-size luxury SUV with substantial capability and a well-developed feature set.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about living with a large, complex luxury SUV whose upkeep can be costly if it has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac Escalade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxury trim uses leatherette upholstery, while higher trims add richer leather combinations and more upscale cabin details. The Sport trims also darken the chrome accents, which changes the look without changing the Escalade’s core mission.
• Powertrain: The standard 6.2-litre gasoline V8 makes 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and it can feel underwhelming when you ask for quick passing power. A 3.0-litre Duramax turbodiesel V6 is also mentioned, and the high-performance Escalade-V uses a supercharged Corvette V8 with 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a Safety Alert seat, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera, lane-departure warning, lane keep assist, and a rear seat reminder. Reverse emergency braking, Night Vision, and Super Cruise are optional.
• Infotainment: You get a curved OLED screen layout spanning 38 inches, plus wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. Super Cruise is optional, and it adds hands-free highway driving with eye-tracking.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard 4WD model is rated at a combined 15.0 L/100 km, while the Duramax turbodiesel is cited at 10.5 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade is offered in 5 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport, and Sport Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Escalade’s core size, presence, and technology. It makes sense if you want the nameplate and the big-screen experience without chasing the pricier trims.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the Platinum models. If you want the sweet spot between equipment and price, start here.
• Premium Luxury Platinum: Choose this if you want a more lavish cabin and are willing to pay for the extra polish. It suits you if interior ambience matters more than keeping the purchase price in check.
• Sport: This trim leans into the darker exterior treatment and a more aggressive look. It’s the right pick if you want the Escalade’s presence with a less chrome-heavy appearance.
• Sport Platinum: This is the most indulgent mainstream Escalade trim and suits you if you want the fullest expression of the model’s luxury and style. It sits at the top of the regular lineup before the separate high-performance variant.

Safety equipment is broadly standard across the lineup, while Super Cruise, Night Vision, and reverse emergency braking remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac Escalade?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 101 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $95,972 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $96,066 CAD sits slightly below last year's $107,310 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Escalade has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more competition if the market stays soft. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong demand for large luxury SUVs can still support values, especially for well-equipped examples in desirable condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade safe?

The 2023 Escalade earned four out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) due to a lower four-star rating for front-passenger protection in a frontal crash test, and a three-star rating for rollover resistance. The Escalade got five stars in all other NHTSA crash tests. It hasn’t received safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), though.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a Safety Alert seat, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera, lane-departure warning, lane keep assist, and a rear seat reminder. Reverse emergency braking is optional, and Night Vision and Super Cruise are also optional.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Escalade’s standout tech, including the sharp OLED screens and Super Cruise availability.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $81,189 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $96,066 CAD average.
• It brings the Escalade’s redesign-era tech and hands-free highway driving system in a slightly cheaper package.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and feature content, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up some of the current-year pricing context, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly route.
