Used 2023 BMW X5 for Sale nearMississauga, ON

How much does the 2023 BMW X5 cost?

Prices have softened 11.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 214 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW X5 earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which lines up with its role as a luxury SUV that blends everyday practicality with a distinctly driver-focused character. It gives you a roomy, comfortable cabin, strong outward visibility, and generous cargo space, so it works well if you want something upscale without giving up usefulness. In Canada, standard xDrive all-wheel drive adds confidence for year-round driving, and the two-row layout keeps the cabin straightforward and spacious. With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a healthy share of market value to consider.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 X5 is described as generally viewed more favourably for reliability than older versions, which is encouraging if you want a used luxury SUV with a stronger reputation than some past BMWs. Even so, ownership still tends to be expensive, especially with V8-powered versions, so your long-term costs can rise quickly if you choose a more complex trim. For used buyers, the main risk is not just repairs, but the higher cost of maintaining a premium SUV over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 214 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,159 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $55,204 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,373 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or exceptionally maintained. Because the model still has strong appeal as a practical luxury SUV, demand should remain solid even if pricing stays softer than it was a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $70,955 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $55,204 CAD average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid xDrive50e with about 63 kilometres of electric-only range.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better starting point if you want the strongest mix of value, practicality, and broad appeal. If you are price-sensitive, the 2023 gives you a much lower entry point while still delivering the X5’s core strengths. If you want the newer plug-in hybrid option and can justify the higher price, the 2024 is the better alternative.
