Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X3?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 423 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.17% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $41,309 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,106 CAD.

That softer pricing trend can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale values may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment. If you plan to sell later, buying at the lower end of the range gives you more room to preserve value. Well-kept examples with desirable features should remain easier to move than higher-priced or heavily used ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $34,039 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $41,309 CAD average.
• It received a substantial refresh with more technology and safety features.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value path and still delivers a polished, well-equipped compact luxury SUV.
