Is the 2022 Toyota Prius Prime a good car?

That kind of feedback usually points to a vehicle that meets expectations for everyday use and ownership satisfaction. The market also shows 30.9% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Prius Prime reliable?

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce some of the uncertainty around long-term ownership risk, especially if the specific vehicle has been maintained well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Prius Prime?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 55 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,243 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Prius Prime's resale value?

The current average of $26,920 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,220 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market suggests there is still demand, but buyers have become a bit more selective. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you should be better positioned when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Prius Prime or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a sensible choice if you want a used Prius Prime with strong owner approval and a market that has eased a bit from last year. If your priority is stretching your budget, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples, especially if you can find one near the lower end of the current range.
