How much does the 2020 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 3.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 105 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare options.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Camry earns a 4.71/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and great fuel economy, and many also like its stylish design and smooth ride. For shoppers who want a practical midsize sedan with a more modern feel, that combination is a strong fit. The main trade-offs are a desire for more horsepower in some versions and a learning curve with the newer technology features. With a market share of good and great deals at 18.1%, you still have some choice if you want to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, which is exactly what many used-car shoppers want from a Camry. The expert assessment reinforces that impression by describing the car as a strong all-rounder with a dependable reputation and a practical, easy-to-live-with character. Toyota’s warranty coverage is also straightforward, with three years or 60,000 kilometres on the vehicle and five years or 100,000 kilometres on the powertrain. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that maintenance history matters more once factory coverage has aged out.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims are well equipped, but the base model misses some convenience and safety items that appear higher up the range. You should compare the LE, SE, XLE, XSE, XLE V6, XSE V6, and TRD carefully, because the nicer trims add more upscale materials, more equipment, and in some cases a more premium feel.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with front-wheel drive, the same engine with all-wheel drive, or a 3.5-litre V6. The four-cylinder is the efficiency play, while the V6 is smoother and stronger but costs more to run.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Safety Connect is not included on the base model unless you add a package.
• Infotainment: Lower trims use a 7-inch screen, while an 8-inch upgrade is available. Android Auto is standard, and some trims can add Remote Connect, but the system still feels dated compared with newer rivals.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-drive four-cylinder XLE and XSE are rated at 7.6 L/100 km, AWD four-cylinder models at 8.4 L/100 km, and front-drive V6 models at 9.0 L/100 km, rising to 9.2 L/100 km for the XSE and 9.4 L/100 km for the TRD.

Which 2020 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Camry is offered in 7 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE, XLE V6, XSE V6, TRD.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it makes the most sense if you want the Camry’s core strengths without paying for extras. It is also the trim where you should pay closest attention to missing convenience items and package content.
• SE: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it adds more colour choices and better interior trimmings, including synthetic leather seats instead of cloth. If you want a nicer feel without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the trim to target.
• XLE: This is the sweet spot if you want the most balanced mix of comfort and equipment. The expert notes point to this trim as the one that best hits the price-and-amenities balance.
• XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier look and feel, plus the more upscale equipment that comes with the higher trim. It suits you best if style matters as much as everyday usability.
• XLE V6: This is the comfort-first V6 choice, with the stronger engine and a more luxury-leaning setup. It makes sense if you want smoother power and are willing to accept higher operating costs.
• XSE V6: This is the more performance-flavoured V6 trim, and it is also the one that can be paired with the TRD option package. It is the right fit if you want the strongest Camry personality in this lineup.
• TRD: This is the most aggressive version, with a specially tuned and lowered suspension and 301 horsepower from the V6. It is best for buyers who want the sportiest Camry and can live with a firmer ride.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, but Safety Connect is not included on the base model unless you add a package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Camry?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 18.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 105 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,301 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $24,062 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,050 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the Camry is still holding value reasonably well, but not so tightly that sellers can expect last year’s numbers to carry over unchanged. For future sellers, that means condition, mileage, and trim choice will matter a lot when it comes time to list. Well-equipped versions should remain easier to move than stripped-down examples, especially if they have the features used shoppers are actively looking for.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2020 Toyota Camry earns a five-star rating from NHTSA and Top Safety Pick+ recognition from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes a pre-collision system with emergency braking and pedestrian detection, dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. Every Camry also comes with 10 airbags, stability control, and a backup camera. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Safety Connect is included on every Camry except the base model, where it is available in a package. Higher trims can also add Bird’s Eye View for a 360-degree parking view.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 18.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds all-wheel drive and the TRD package, giving the Camry more traction and performance appeal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,296 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $24,062 CAD average.
• It brings updated infotainment displays and an upgraded Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ package.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it combines softer pricing with strong safety and owner satisfaction. If you are willing to pay a bit more for newer tech and a revised driver-aid package, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
