Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, smooth ride, and impressive performance, while also highlighting the spacious interior and modern technology. That makes it a strong fit if you want a premium SUV for family use or road trips, especially if comfort and cabin quality matter most. Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value comfort and technology over a stripped-down setup. The repeated praise for the SUV’s long-term appeal suggests it can be a vehicle you feel confident living with day to day.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying extra for a premium SUV without getting the features or condition you expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 136 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,138 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $42,454 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,498 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The GLE's strong appeal as a spacious, comfortable luxury SUV should help support demand, but resale value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $52,789 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $42,454 CAD average.
• It adds brand-new GLE Coupe models for a more distinctive body style.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a broad mix of well-equipped luxury SUV listings. Consider the 2021 if you are willing to pay more for the newer model year and want the Coupe body style or a more distinctive lineup. If price matters most, the 2020 is the smarter starting point.
