Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar a good car?

Owners consistently praise its stunning design, luxurious features, and comfortable driving experience, and many also highlight its power and performance. The main trade-offs mentioned are pricing and the multimedia system, so you should weigh those against the vehicle’s upscale appeal. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its comfortable, enjoyable driving character and overall ownership experience. That said, you should still approach any used luxury SUV with care and review maintenance history closely, since long-term ownership risk can rise if previous upkeep was inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 86 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.82% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,504 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar's resale value?

The current average of $31,691 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,026 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the current market level means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a luxury SUV at a lower entry price than it commanded a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current value and owner approval, the 2020 is the year to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2020’s stronger market position and satisfaction signal.
