That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some of its recent depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. Strong owner satisfaction can also help keep demand healthy for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.92/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.92/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,130 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $28,159 CAD average.
• It adds more high-tech features and a more finely appointed feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a strong satisfaction profile. If you’re willing to spend more for a more polished and better-equipped version, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
