• Fuel efficiency: The RDX A-Spec with SH-AWD is rated at 11.3 L/100 km in the city, 9.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.3 L/100 km combined. The test vehicle recorded 10.6 L/100 km in mixed driving.

Which 2020 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2020 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: RDX, Tech, A-Spec, and Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• RDX: This is the best-value choice because it already includes a long list of standard luxury and safety equipment, including heated front seats, a panoramic moonroof, a 10.2-inch screen, and a full driver-assistance suite.
• Tech: Choose this if you want the most useful upgrade path, since it adds navigation, rear-seat USB ports, extra driver-assistance features, rain-sensing wipers, rear-door keyless entry, and the upgraded ELS audio system.
• A-Spec: Pick this if you want the sportiest look and a richer cabin, with unique styling, ventilated front seats, UltraSuede upholstery, sport pedals, and the 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D system.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the top choice if you want the most comfort and convenience, thanks to 16-way power front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and a surround-view camera.

The standard safety package is already strong on the base trim, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get core protection features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 192 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,077 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $30,078 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,618 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy now, you’re entering at a softer point in the cycle, which can help limit near-term depreciation pressure. Strong value positioning and broad appeal should still support demand, especially for well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers strong value, plenty of space, and a powerful engine.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $33,223 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $30,078 CAD average.
• It brings a more modern interior and the rethought True Touch Interface.

The bottom line: If you want the better value proposition, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it combines strong equipment, solid safety, and a lower average price. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling cabin and updated infotainment, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
