How much does the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas cost?

There are 183 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The Atlas stands out as a three-row midsize SUV with a vast interior, a straightforward layout, and a practical, family-friendly focus. You also get very roomy second and third rows, seating for up to seven, and useful everyday features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and plenty of storage space. With 25.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Atlas does have slightly below-average reliability scores compared with some rivals, and out-of-warranty repair costs can be high. Early models also had transmission and electrical issues, so you should pay close attention to service records and confirm that any recall or warranty work has been completed.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if the vehicle has been well maintained, but a careful inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Volkswagen Atlas?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 26.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,333 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The current average of $21,333 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,832 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Atlas has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If prices stay near this level, future resale gains may be limited unless demand strengthens or supply tightens.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 26.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a spacious, practical three-row SUV with a polished feel and you value cabin room over efficiency, the 2019 Atlas is the better fit. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth a closer look.
