Is the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners most often praise its impressive fuel economy, its performance, and the comfort of its interior. That lines up well if you want a compact SUV that feels efficient and easy to live with, while still offering a more refined and capable hybrid package. The main trade-offs are that the tech can feel a bit outdated and the interior may seem underwhelming for the price. Is the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free for everyday use, with strong satisfaction around efficiency and comfort. That kind of response suggests you can count on it as a long-term ownership choice if the specific used example has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about the condition and history of the individual vehicle you choose.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 129 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.55% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,249 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $29,505 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,238 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may be better positioned to absorb normal depreciation later. The fact that demand remains supported by owner satisfaction is a positive sign for future resale strength.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-rounder with better fuel economy, more modern tech, and solid owner satisfaction, the 2019 is the better target. If your priority is spending less upfront, a nearby year may be worth considering, but you should expect to give up some of the 2019’s refinement and efficiency.
