Is the 2019 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Porsche Macan earns a 5/5 user rating, which lines up with its focus on driving enjoyment, premium feel, and a high-quality interior. It was designed with a sportier brief than most rivals, and its all-wheel-drive layout and seven-speed PDK automatic transmission help give it polished, performance-focused character. It also offers a strong reliability record and a major 2019 update that brought a redesigned dashboard, a larger touchscreen, and more power across most versions. With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Macan’s strong reliability record is part of its appeal as a premium used SUV, and its high-quality interior adds to the sense that it was built to a higher standard than many rivals. You still need to watch for the usual used-premium-SUV ownership costs, especially if you’re looking at higher-powered versions or a vehicle that has been driven hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 150 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,502 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $37,502 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,992 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations. The Macan’s premium image, strong driving appeal, and high-quality cabin should help it stay desirable with used buyers. Because demand tends to follow well-regarded premium SUVs, a clean example with good history should remain easier to move than a less distinctive rival. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the updated Macan with the stronger 2019 refresh, the 2019 is the one to target. It gives you the redesigned dashboard, newer infotainment, and improved engine range while still delivering the sharp handling and premium feel that define the model. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby earlier year may be worth considering, but the 2019 is the better all-round pick if you want the most complete version of this generation.
