Is the 2019 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Nissan Kicks earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a budget-friendly subcompact SUV. Drivers commonly praise its good value, comfortable passenger space, touch screen interface, and fuel efficiency. It also fits well if you want simple, practical everyday transportation with useful features rather than a performance-focused crossover. The main caution for used buyers is that long-term ownership risk is more about accepting modest performance and a few practical compromises than expecting major luxury-car refinement.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Kicks?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 218 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,160 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $14,160 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,693 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale gains harder to count on if you buy at the wrong price. If you purchase near the lower end of the range, you may reduce your exposure to further depreciation. The Kicks' value-focused reputation should help it stay relevant with budget-minded shoppers, but resale strength will still depend on how well you buy and how clean the vehicle is when you sell it.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a sensible pick if you want a value-first subcompact SUV and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a slightly older example offers a better entry point, but the 2019 remains a strong starting point for shoppers focused on affordability and everyday practicality.
