2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is the smallest and most affordable vehicle in the Range Rover family. It sits beneath the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover models. There are no changes of note for 2019.
As before, Land Rover offers the Range Rover Evoque in two body styles: a traditionally shaped five-door model, and a convertible variant with two fewer side doors and a power-folding cloth top. Note that if you opt for the convertible, you’ll also lose a seat, as it only holds 4 people.
Beneath the hood of every Range Rover Evoque is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder Ingenium engine. In base form, it makes 237 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque. The five-door offers a spicier engine with 286 hp and 295 lb-ft in certain trims. A 9-speed automatic transmission is the only unit on offer. Fuel economy is as high as 22 miles per gallon city, 29 highway, and 24 combined on premium fuel.
Despite its compact size and urban styling, Land Rover gives the Range Rover Evoque the features to live up to its name. An intelligent all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is standard across the range, as well as an assortment of off-road technology. All-Terrain Progress Control functions between 1.1 and 18.6 miles per hour, helping you maintain a steady speed in challenging environments. The Terrain Response system optimizes the Range Rover Evoque for the most appropriate terrain, letting you select between General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud & Ruts, or Sand. Hill Descent Control monitors slip and brakes automatically to make steep slope descents easier. Finally, Gradient Release Control prevents you from accelerating too quickly as you go down a slope.
You have more than a few trim levels to choose from on the Range Rover Evoque. The five-door model offers SE, SE Premium, Landmark Edition, HSE, HSE Dynamic, and Autobiography trims. Meanwhile, the convertible comes in SE Dynamic and HSE Dynamic grades. The base SE trim includes power-folding heated mirrors with puddle lights, dual-zone climate control, 12-way grained leather power front seats, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a leather steering wheel, keyless start, an 8-inch infotainment system, and navigation. As you scale the trim ladder, you’ll gain access to features like HID headlights, memory seats, a power hands-free liftgate, configurable mood lighting, nicer grades of leather, a larger 10-inch infotainment system, keyless access, a panoramic fixed-glass moonroof, a Meridian Sound system, and heated seats and steering wheel.
In addition to all of the off-road safety technology, Land Rover equips its Range Rover Evoque with plenty of standard and optional features to avoid accidents. A reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, and front and rear parking sensors come with all versions. The available Driver Assistance Package adds automated parallel and perpendicular parking, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, a driver-condition monitor, adaptive cruise control, and traffic-sign recognition. The Driver Assist Plus package throws in a heads-up display and adaptive LED headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic detection comes bundled on higher trims. There is no public crash test data on the Range Rover Evoque.
For a vehicle that’s equally at home in the city and the country, with modern styling and luxury, it’s hard to go wrong with the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.
