How much does the 2019 Kia Soul cost?

Is the 2019 Kia Soul a good car?

The 2019 Kia Soul is a solid fit if you want a practical small vehicle with personality, and its 3.86/5 user rating reflects that mix of strengths and compromises. Owners most often praise the roomy interior, smooth and quiet ride, and strong value for the money, while the model’s use-case appeal is strongest if you want everyday practicality in a compact package with a bit more character than a typical hatchback. The market also shows 29.1% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile examples to find.

Is the 2019 Kia Soul reliable?

The 2019 Kia Soul stands out because it keeps the model’s familiar boxy shape while making the package feel more polished and practical. Owners do describe it as smooth and quiet, and the broader feedback points to a car that can feel dependable in daily use when you find a well-kept example. At the same time, used buyers should be careful about condition and maintenance history, because long-term ownership risk rises quickly if the car has been poorly maintained or repaired after a rough previous life.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 189 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,032 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $13,075 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,360 CAD.

That price movement suggests the 2019 Soul has already absorbed a meaningful chunk of its depreciation. For a future seller, that can be a mixed blessing: you may not see rapid value growth, but the car’s current pricing also means the market has likely already adjusted to its age and segment position. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain it well, you should be in a better position to protect value than a neglected example.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $15,194 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $13,075 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern, refined take on the Soul’s practical formula.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition. Consider the 2020 if you want to spend more for a newer take on the same roomy, distinctive idea.
