Summary
With 56 currently listed for sale and an average price of $35,966 CAD, 28.6% of 2019 GMC Yukon listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 GMC Yukon 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2019 GMC Yukon stands out as a full-size SUV that blends traditional V8 power with a premium, family-friendly cabin. It is part of a generation that brought a more modern look, with LED lights, a bold grille, and chiseled exterior lines, while the interior added a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a push-button gear selector on the dash, nine camera views, and an eight-inch digital gauge cluster. It also introduced independent rear multilink suspension with coil springs, which helped create a lower floor and more cargo and passenger space. For buyers who want a large SUV that still feels upscale, the Yukon’s mix of space, technology, and presence is a major part of its appeal.
What makes the 2019 model especially distinctive is that it still offers a 355-horsepower 5.3-litre V8 and a 420-horsepower 6.2-litre V8, along with a 277-horsepower 3.0-litre inline-six turbocharged diesel engine option. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard across the lineup. The Yukon also benefits from the generation’s strong towing and utility focus, and the available off-road-oriented AT4 trim adds features such as GMC’s Active Response 4WD system, a front skid plate, all-terrain tyres, and an approach angle of nearly 32 degrees. That said, this generation’s reliability has not been especially strong so far, and the Yukon’s modern amenities come with a modern price tag.

The Denali with 22 inch wheels and locks, sunroof, 4wd, the ultimate package addition, with superior entertainment, will work for me. The only other make I would compare would be the Escalade Luxury or premium package. The Yukon is definitely more rugged, however.

I love the GMC Yukon. This is my second one. I put over 200K miles on the last one, it still looks and runs great. I am just in the mood for a new vehicle. If you are looking for a Large SUV, this is my pick. I just wish there were more options decisions that could be made. They are nice, but A lot of them I dont need.

| Year-Round Low | $35,956 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $44,529 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $43,471 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −17.15% |

There are 55 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2019 GMC Yukon a good car?
Yes — the 2019 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its ruggedness, great features, and overall value, and many also like the Denali’s luxury feel and spaciousness. If you want a full-size SUV with a premium, family-friendly cabin and a strong presence, the Yukon fits that use case well. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2019 GMC Yukon reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels rugged, dependable, and well suited to buyers who want something they can count on over time. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and condition, because long-term ownership risk is always higher when a vehicle has already seen several years of use.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Yukon?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.
- Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some negotiating room.
- Inventory: There are 55 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.15% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $35,956 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 GMC Yukon’s resale value?
The current average of $36,017 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,471 CAD.
That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside left than a shopper who paid closer to the prior-year average. Strong demand for a large, premium SUV can also help support resale interest, especially when the vehicle presents well and has been maintained properly.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.15% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current pricing, and a premium full-size SUV experience, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2019 remains the better fit when you want a well-liked version with meaningful market softness.
