Why it stands out
The 2019 BMW X5 stands out as an all-new version that brings more room and improved power, while still aiming to deliver car-like handling in an SUV form. BMW’s long-running idea behind the X5 has always been to blend truck form with car function, and this generation continues that approach in a midsize crossover package. It also stretches 2.5 centimetres longer, 7.5 centimetres wider, and 2.5 centimetres taller than the previous model, although the changes are subtle enough that you have to look closely to notice them.
Visually, the most obvious update is a new and bigger kidney grille with active shutters. Inside, the 2019 BMW X5 gets a redesigned interior with an updated version of the iDrive system and a suite of Level 2 autonomous technology. That said, the tech still lags behind the segment’s best, and the autonomous features are described as leaving a lot to be desired. Even so, the X5 remains appealing for buyers who want a luxury SUV that prioritises driving feel, space, and a strong overall sense of refinement.

Tires were worn down and even peeling off on the front right tire. Wheels are aftermarket. Car was clean on the inside, but nor on the outside and faded on plastic parts of vehicle. Compared to others like it, price was high for its condition.
