How much does the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas cost?

There are 182 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas a good car?

Yes — the 4.78/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked SUV. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, family-friendly features, and easy-to-use tech such as Apple CarPlay. The Atlas also fits well if you want a roomy three-row SUV with a practical layout and a more premium feel than you might expect. With 23.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable for family use, with praise centred on its spacious cabin and everyday usability. The same feedback also suggests that some shoppers have had trouble-free ownership, especially when the Atlas has been maintained well. At the same time, used buyers should still budget for long-term ownership risk because early-model issues can affect repair needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Volkswagen Atlas?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 182 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,434 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The current average of $18,435 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,604 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Atlas easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at today’s average, your future resale value will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how competitively it is priced when you decide to sell. A lower entry price can help offset depreciation, but you should still expect the market to remain sensitive to condition and mileage.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the lowest entry price and you’re focused on value, the 2018 is the year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive and want to compare against a newer alternative, the next model year may be worth a look, but the 2018 remains the better starting point when you want a spacious family SUV at a softer market price.
