This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 291 listings available.

What is the 2018 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $16,672 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,154 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale gains harder to count on in the short term. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and maintenance history will matter even more when it comes time to list.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong pick if you want the newer, more polished Corolla experience and you value a mix of practicality, efficiency, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 makes the most sense when you want a well-liked version with decent market availability and a softer price trend.
