This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 190 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,841 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $28,841 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,320 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have less downside left than someone who paid closer to the previous average. Strong demand for well-kept examples should also help support values, especially for buyers who want a premium compact SUV with a distinctive driving character.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the Macan’s sporty feel, premium cabin, and well-liked ownership experience without moving to the newer, pricier update. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry point, but the 2018 remains the better fit if you want the classic Macan formula with solid market support.
