That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help support demand in the near term. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price competitively if you want to stand out. On the other hand, the current spread between the average price and the year-round low gives you a useful benchmark for timing your sale and setting expectations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value and owner approval, the 2018 is the better starting point. If your priority is simply the lowest purchase price, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and deal quality rather than the model year alone.
