Is the 2018 Audi A5 Sportback reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in everyday use, with praise for its smooth ride and enjoyable driving character. That kind of consistent satisfaction suggests you may be less likely to face regret after purchase if you choose a well-kept example.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is not a clear reliability red flag from the data, but rather finding a car whose equipment and condition match your expectations.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi A5 Sportback?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings before moving quickly.

• Deal availability: 24.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 54 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,792 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi A5 Sportback's resale value?

The current average of $21,407 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,113 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If prices stay near the current average, future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. On the other hand, a model with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can still hold buyer interest better than a less desirable alternative.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A5 Sportback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 24.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used A5 Sportback with strong owner approval and a softer price trend, the 2018 is a sensible place to start. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby model years and focus on the best-equipped, best-priced listing rather than the year alone.
