Is the 2018 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, luxurious interior, and strong performance, and many also value the advanced features it offers. The RDX’s roomy cabin and practical crossover layout make it a sensible fit if you want comfort and everyday usability in a premium package. Is the 2018 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on over the long term. That kind of sentiment matters if you want a used luxury crossover that should feel reassuring rather than risky.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about owner satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,738 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $19,738 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,735 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has softened, which can make it easier for you to buy now but may also mean future resale gains are limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend points to a value curve that is more stable than rising.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable, well-equipped luxury crossover with strong owner approval, the 2018 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 remains the better all-around pick when you want a balanced mix of value, comfort, and features.
