Is the 2018 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, luxurious interior, and strong performance, and many also value the advanced features it offers. In practical terms, that makes it a good fit if you want a luxury crossover that balances everyday comfort, useful cargo space, and family-friendly usability. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with owners highlighting the vehicle’s comfort and overall value over the long term. For used buyers, that suggests the main ownership risk is less about day-to-day dependability and more about finding a well-kept example with the features and condition you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 169 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,526 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $20,526 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,613 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some of its near-term depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a seller, it means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. Because the market still shows meaningful demand, a clean example should remain easier to move than a weaker one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped, comfortable luxury crossover with strong owner approval, the 2018 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may offer a lower entry price, but the 2018 remains the better all-around pick when you want a balanced mix of value, comfort, and market support.
