Is the 2017 Ford Transit Connect reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people can count on for practical use, especially when you want dependable passenger and cargo transport. The repeated praise for value, utility, and everyday driving experience suggests it has the kind of long-term appeal used buyers often look for.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific van you choose has been maintained well, since comfort and equipment complaints can matter more over time than the basic usefulness of the vehicle.

The current average of $18,791 CAD sits slightly above last year's $17,995 CAD.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which can support resale confidence if you buy well. If prices stay firm, a future seller may benefit from the same steady demand that is pushing values higher now. The relatively limited inventory also helps keep attention on clean, well-priced examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Transit Connect or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.43% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Transit Connect with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2017 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
