There are 73 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice when comparing condition, mileage, and equipment.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its space, comfort, and style, and many also like the powerful performance and available all-wheel drive for different weather conditions. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a roomy, family-focused crossover with minivan-like practicality and SUV styling. With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a vehicle that many people find dependable in day-to-day use, especially for space, comfort, and all-weather capability. That said, the broader ownership picture suggests you should still inspect carefully and prioritise maintenance history, since used examples can carry long-term ownership risk if past care has been inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,420 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $13,821 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,181 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale timing more important if you plan to sell later. If you buy at the right price now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation losses. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If your priority is space, comfort, and value, the 2017 Traverse is the better fit when you find one with a clean history and a fair asking price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-mileage or better-equipped example offers more value for your budget.
