If you maintain the vehicle well and keep service records, you can help protect its value over time. The current price position suggests steady demand rather than a sharp premium.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used hybrid SUV with strong owner approval and a price that has eased from last year, the 2016 is a sensible place to start. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with lower average pricing may be worth a look, but the 2016 offers a balanced mix of value and buyer confidence.
