Generally — the 4.38/5 user rating suggests you can feel good about the ownership experience if you value what this SUV does best. Owners repeatedly praise the powerful engine, smooth ride, beautiful interior, and spaciousness, which lines up well with the model’s luxury-SUV mission. The overview also points to a vehicle that combines presence, comfort, and practicality, especially if you want a Range Rover badge without the full-size footprint. Is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people enjoy living with for its luxury and performance, but it also includes concerns about mechanical issues. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is higher than average if the previous owner did not stay ahead of repairs.

What is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $22,970 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,007 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help a future seller if the vehicle is kept in strong condition. It also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on maintenance records, mileage, and overall presentation. Because the market still shows steady shopper interest, a clean example should remain easier to move than a neglected one.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.38/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.38/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the strongest balance of value, luxury, and buyer choice in this generation. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2016 gives you a useful combination of softened pricing and decent inventory, so it is the better starting point for most shoppers.
