The current average of $23,104 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,819 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle well maintained, you may be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range. The current spread between the low and high end also shows that condition and equipment still matter a lot to future value.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
