Is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport a good car?

Is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport reliable?

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 86 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,226 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport's resale value?

The current average of $14,390 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,316 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking ahead to resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward. If prices stabilise, a well-kept example could hold its value better than a neglected one. Strong condition and documentation matter more when the market has already moved lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing pressure and owner approval, the 2016 is the year to focus on. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the 2016's stronger market signals.
