Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,182 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport's resale value?

The current average of $14,196 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,364 CAD.

That softer pricing can make the model easier to buy today, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If market conditions stay similar, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service records. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of buyer satisfaction and current pricing, the 2016 is the primary year to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016’s current market position and owner feedback.
