Is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating suggests you should feel confident considering it if you want a used SUV with strong owner approval. That kind of feedback can be a useful sign that the vehicle is meeting expectations in everyday use. With 24.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that points to lower perceived ownership risk than you might expect, though you should still focus on service history and condition because reliability on a used vehicle always depends on how it was maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 77 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,183 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport's resale value?

The current average of $14,192 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,862 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If the market stays at this level, resale value will likely depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance records than on broad price momentum. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2016 is the better fit if you want a used Discovery Sport with strong owner approval and a softer price environment. If you're more price-sensitive, it can also make sense to compare nearby years and focus on whichever listing gives you the best condition and value for the money.
