Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to it being reliable and trouble-free for many owners, with comments about dependable day-to-day use and confidence over the long term. For used buyers, that means the long-term risk looks manageable, but a careful test drive is still important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Focus?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $8,287 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Focus's resale value?

The current average of $9,268 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,721 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you own one, the current trend implies you may need to price competitively to move it quickly. On the other hand, steady owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Focus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Ford Focus makes sense if you want a used compact car with solid owner satisfaction and some pricing flexibility in the market. If your priority is value, this year is worth a close look. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the listings at the lower end of the range.
