This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 535 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,876 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan's resale value?

The current average of $11,009 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,567 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future depreciation feel less abrupt if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, the current softness means you may not recover as much as you would have a year ago, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or visible wear. Still, the Grand Caravan’s practical appeal helps keep it relevant with family buyers who value space and flexibility.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2016 if you want a practical, family-friendly minivan with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some value. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains a sensible choice when you want a balance of affordability, utility, and buyer confidence.
