Is the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan earns a 4.64/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its spaciousness, comfort, and practicality, especially the usefulness of Stow ’n Go seating for families who need flexible passenger and cargo space. It also fits well if you want a straightforward, easy-to-use minivan that focuses on everyday utility rather than flash. With 26.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, dependability, and a vehicle that many families have been able to count on over time. That said, some owners also mention past powertrain concerns, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the van drives on a test route. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is manageable if the vehicle has been maintained carefully, but it is worth being selective about condition and history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 544 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,875 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan's resale value?

The current average of $10,875 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,556 CAD.

That price trend suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than broad market momentum. Because the market is already pricing this van below its prior-year average, a clean example with strong records should stand out more clearly to shoppers later on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a practical, family-focused minivan and you value affordability, the 2016 is a sensible place to start, especially if you find a well-kept example with a strong service history. If you are especially price-sensitive, it also makes sense to compare nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced listing rather than chasing a specific badge year.
