Is the 2016 Buick Encore a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Buick Encore earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2016 Buick Encore reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers often describe it as a vehicle they can count on for a smooth, comfortable ownership experience, with dependable everyday manners and a cabin that feels well put together. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some drivers report the engine can feel underpowered, especially on the highway, so you should make sure it suits your driving needs before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Buick Encore?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 86 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,765 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Buick Encore's resale value?

The current average of $12,116 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,172 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar right away. If you buy at the right price now, you may reduce the risk of taking an immediate hit on resale later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current pricing, and available inventory, the 2016 is a sensible year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples rather than the model year alone.
