How much does the 2015 Toyota Corolla cost?

There are 204 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Toyota Corolla earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

It is framed as a sensible, reliable compact car that still adds a bit of style, so you get an easygoing daily driver with some personality. The trade-off is that it does not aim to be especially exciting, which suits you if you value straightforward transportation over emotional appeal.

There are 25.5% good or great deals in the market, which is a useful sign that some listings are priced attractively.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Corolla is described as reliable and sensible transportation, and its 1.8-litre engine is called refined and quiet. It is also expected to prove cheap to own and to retain a big chunk of its original value over time, while outside forecasts point to reliability and dependability as it ages.

Its fuel economy and low ownership costs support that reputation, and the model’s practical focus should help keep long-term ownership risk manageable for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The basic CE includes the core equipment, while the LE adds larger 16-inch wheels and heated front seats, and the S brings a sportier look with unique hubcaps, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a rear spoiler, sportier front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a Sport driving mode and revised dashboard trim.
• Powertrain: A 1.8-litre four-cylinder powers all versions through front-wheel drive, with 132 horsepower in all but the LE Eco. The engine is refined and quiet, and the CVT is offered on the CE and S grades.
• Safety package: Toyota does not offer blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active cruise control with forward-collision warning or automatic braking. A backup camera is about as sophisticated as it gets, and it is not standard.
• Infotainment: Bluetooth is standard on all models, while Toyota’s Entune App Suite is available on higher grades. The system uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen, and the navigation display is small.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 8.3 litres per 100 kilometres in the city and 6.2 highway for the test car, and mixed driving returned 7.9 L/100 km.

Which 2015 Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Corolla is offered in 4 trim levels: CE, LE, LE Eco and S.

Here's the short version:

• CE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Corolla’s core value story with standard LED headlights, air conditioning, power windows, locks and mirrors, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and Bluetooth connectivity with a USB 2.0 port. It suits you if you want the lowest-cost path into the model.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the most useful everyday upgrades, including the CVT as standard, larger 16-inch wheels and heated front seats. If you want the Corolla’s comfort and convenience sweet spot, this is the one to focus on.
• LE Eco: This trim adds a retuned engine with 8 extra horsepower for a total of 140 and better fuel economy, helped by more aerodynamic bodywork and smaller wheels with low-rolling-resistance tires. Choose it if efficiency matters most.
• S: This is the sportier-looking trim, with unique hubcaps, integrated turn-signal mirrors, a rear spoiler, sportier front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters and a Sport driving mode. It is the pick if you want the most personality.

Toyota does not offer any newfangled active safety systems in the Corolla, and the backup camera is not standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 204 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,311 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $12,480 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,453 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Corolla is already in a more buyer-friendly part of its depreciation curve. For a future seller, that can mean less upside than when prices were stronger, but it also reflects a model that remains accessible and in demand.

Because the Corolla is expected to be cheap to own and retain a big chunk of its original value over time, it should remain relatively easy to move when you decide to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla safe?

The 2015 Toyota Corolla earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Good rating from IIHS in all assessments except the small overlap frontal-impact test, in which it rated Marginal.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota does not offer any newfangled active safety systems in the Corolla. There is no blind-spot monitoring system, no lane-departure warning system, no rear cross-traffic alert system, no active cruise control system with forward-collision warning and no automatic braking function. A backup camera is about as sophisticated as it gets, and that's not standard.

The Marginal small-overlap result is the main safety caveat to keep in mind when you are shopping used.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It balances sensible transportation with a bit more style than a purely basic commuter.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,770 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,480 CAD average.
• It focuses on fuel-efficient daily motoring and strong reliability.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,600 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,480 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished package with stronger value focus and impressive fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, availability and proven practicality, the 2015 is the main path to consider. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2014 is the price-sensitive alternative; if you want a newer-feeling value play, the 2016 is worth a look.

How does the 2015 Toyota Corolla compare to the 2015 Honda Civic?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota Corolla 6.2/10 and the 2015 Honda Civic 8.7/10. The Corolla leans harder into cost effectiveness and straightforward reliability, while the Civic comes across as the stronger all-rounder. If you want the cheaper used price and a strong value story, the Corolla makes sense; if you want the better expert-rated package, the Civic is the more compelling choice.
