How much does the 2015 Toyota Corolla cost?

There are 215 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Toyota Corolla earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

It is framed as sensible, reliable transportation that still tries to make everyday driving a little more enjoyable. The overview also describes it as practical and even stylish, while the expert test drive notes that it falls short on “surprise” and “delight,” so you should expect competence more than excitement.

The model’s value proposition is reinforced by its affordable ownership profile and strong market positioning, and 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Corolla is described as reliable and sensible transportation, and the expert test drive also calls it cheap to own and likely to retain a big chunk of its original value over time. The performance notes add that the 1.8-litre engine is refined and quiet, which supports the impression of a durable, low-stress commuter.

The cost-effectiveness commentary also says Consumer Reports and J.D. Power expect it to prove reliable and dependable over time, and that it delivers good fuel economy even if you drive it hard. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about accepting a car that prioritises practicality over excitement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base CE includes LED headlights, air conditioning, power windows, locks and mirrors, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and Bluetooth with a USB 2.0 port. The LE adds a CVT, larger 16-inch wheels, and heated front seats, while the S brings a sportier look with unique hubcaps, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a rear spoiler, sportier front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and a Sport driving mode.
• Powertrain: A 1.8-litre four-cylinder powers all versions through front-wheel drive, with 132 horsepower in all but the LE Eco. The engine is refined and quiet, but the manual transmission is described as floppy and imprecise, while the CVT is offered on the CE and S and is standard on the LE.
• Safety package: Toyota does not offer blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active cruise control with forward-collision warning, or automatic braking. A backup camera is about as sophisticated as it gets, and it is not standard.
• Infotainment: Bluetooth is standard, and Toyota’s Entune App Suite is available on higher grades. The system uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen, and the review notes that the screen is small and the virtual buttons can be difficult to use.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 8.3 L/100 km in the city and 6.2 L/100 km on the highway for the test car, and the review reports 7.9 L/100 km in mixed driving.

Which 2015 Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Corolla is offered in 4 trim levels: CE, LE, LE Eco and S.

Here's the short version:

• CE: This is the entry point, but it still includes a solid list of standard equipment such as LED headlights, air conditioning, power windows, locks and mirrors, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and Bluetooth with a USB 2.0 port. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Corolla lineup.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the CVT, larger 16-inch wheels, and heated front seats. If you want a more comfortable daily driver without moving too far up the price ladder, this is the trim to focus on.
• LE Eco: This trim adds a retuned engine with 8 extra horsepower for a total of 140 and better fuel economy, plus aerodynamic changes and smaller wheels with low-rolling-resistance tyres. It suits you if efficiency matters more than extra features.
• S: This is the sportier-looking trim, with unique hubcaps, integrated turn-signal mirrors, a rear spoiler, sportier front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and a Sport driving mode. It is the choice if you want the Corolla with the most personality.

Toyota’s safety content also notes that a backup camera is not standard, so you should confirm whether the specific car you are considering has it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have some leverage if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 215 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,295 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $12,531 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,230 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the car is especially clean, well maintained, or well equipped. At the same time, the Corolla’s reputation for practicality and low ownership costs helps support steady demand.

Because the model is positioned as affordable and dependable, it should remain attractive to shoppers who want a low-risk used compact car. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla safe?

The 2015 Toyota Corolla earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it a Good rating in all assessments except for the small overlap frontal-impact test, in which it rated Marginal.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota does not offer any newfangled active safety systems in the Corolla. There is no blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active cruise control with forward-collision warning, or automatic braking. A backup camera is about as sophisticated as it gets, and that is not standard.

The main caveat is the Marginal small-overlap frontal result, which is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It balances reliability, practicality, and a bit more personality than basic transportation.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,877 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,531 CAD average.
• It focuses on fuel-efficient daily motoring and reliable long-haul commuting.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,299 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,531 CAD average.
• It emphasises strong value, impressive fuel economy, and a well-rounded feature set.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and broad appeal, the 2015 is the sensible pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2014 is the cheaper route; if you want a newer-feeling value play, the 2016 is worth a look.
