Generally — the 4.2/5 user rating points to a truck that many owners feel delivers on the basics and then some. Owners consistently praise its strong performance, roomy interior, and impressive features, and many also like how it works well as both a work vehicle and a family vehicle. For you, that means the Sierra 1500 makes the most sense if you want a full-size pickup with a more upscale feel and broad everyday usefulness. What is the 2015 GMC Sierra 1500's resale value?

The current average of $18,854 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,635 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value than someone who pays near the top of the range. The current spread between the year-round low and high also shows there is room for price-sensitive buyers to shop carefully.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a sensible choice if you want a full-size pickup with a premium feel and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years as well, but the 2015 remains a strong starting point when value and owner satisfaction matter most.
