So far so good! Very enjoyable driving the 2015 X1. Today I picked up a queen bed frame and it fit in the back. Drove into the city for an event and parking on the street was a breeze. Excellent headlights. It’s just slightly smaller than my former car, a 2007 RAV4, but so much of an upgrade in terms of style, comfort, luxury, and fun. There really isn’t a comparable car out there in terms of size and versatility. I also drove an Audi Q3 and hated it. The Honda HRV lacked luxury and features the BMW has. Mercedes GLA wasn’t as peppy. The panorama moonroof is awesome. Fantastic stereo. Only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is this one doesn’t have the iDrive system. Would recommend buying one that has it. But I can live without it since I’ve never had a car with that type of system. I bought this car with only 32k miles so hopefully regular maintenance will keep it going for a long time.

I am a previous BMW owner --- nothing else compares to a BEEMER. It is a true precision machine.

Each of the packages included in I use on a daily basis. The cold Weather Package, Premium Package, Technology Package, Navigation, etc all a must. Full Maintenance Warranty is a huge plus to owning a new BMW! Free car washes, oil changes and all routine maintenance. Sunroof is fantastic also.

2015 BMW X1 Price Trends
CarGurus tracks the prices of millions of used car listings every year. See how the average price of 2015 BMW X1 prices has changed over time.
See more price trendsHow much does the 2015 BMW X1 cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $10,933 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $10,708 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $12,298 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $12,141 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −9.95% |
Prices have softened 9.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 94 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2015 BMW X1 a good car?
Yes — the 2015 BMW X1 earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its performance, fun driving dynamics, quality build, cargo space, and all-wheel-drive capability, while also noting that it can handle snowy conditions well. If you want a compact luxury SUV that feels engaging to drive and still offers practical utility, this model year fits that brief. The market also shows 27.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 BMW X1 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners highlighting quality build and describing it as a great value for buyers who want luxury and driving enjoyment. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on it for everyday use if it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been cared for well, especially if you plan to keep it for several years.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 BMW X1?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the best-priced examples.
- Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.95% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $10,708 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 BMW X1's resale value?
The current average of $10,933 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,141 CAD.
That decline suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, the softer pricing can help reduce your upfront cost, though resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2015 BMW X1 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.95% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2015 BMW X1 is a strong choice if you want a compact luxury SUV with good owner satisfaction, useful cargo space, and a softer used-market price. If your priority is getting the best value, this year looks appealing; if you're especially price-sensitive, you should still compare nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced alternative offers similar equipment and condition.
