CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Audi Q5

Summary
With 134 currently listed for sale and an average price of $12,418 CAD, 32.1% of 2015 Audi Q5 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Audi Q5 4.56 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Audi Q5 stands out as a compact luxury SUV that puts comfort, quality, and everyday usefulness ahead of flash. It has standard quattro all-wheel drive, a smooth ride, and a roomy, high-quality interior, which helps explain why it feels like a premium product rather than a stripped-down utility vehicle. It also comes well equipped, with standard features including 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and cruise control.
For 2015, the Q5 sits in the first-generation run and benefits from the broader strengths of that era: a solid, refined feel and a practical layout. The available powertrains in this generation give buyers some flexibility, and owner feedback points to strong fuel efficiency and peppy performance as positives. That said, the Q5 is not the most adventurous choice in its class, and some owners have noted a small back seat and concerns about engine reliability in older models. Even so, for shoppers who want a polished used luxury SUV with a strong feature set and a comfortable driving experience, the 2015 Audi Q5 remains appealing.

Car drives fantastic. Handles well and looks good. Just be prepared with a high mileage Audi 2.0T, there is the risk of a bad timing chain, or fuel injector. Not to mention oil consumption on 2014 or older due to a piston defect. As for the 3.0T, just the bad gasket seals causing oil leaks when over 85k miles.

Is the 2015 Audi Q5 a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Audi Q5 earns a 4.56/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious ride, excellent fuel efficiency, and great features, and many also like the spacious interior and peppy performance. That fits well if you want a compact luxury SUV that prioritises comfort, quality, and everyday usefulness over flash. With 32.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a meaningful share of attractive options to consider.
Is the 2015 Audi Q5 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.56/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the Q5’s comfort, fuel efficiency, and overall quality. At the same time, some owners mention concerns about engine reliability in older models, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of deferred upkeep. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you choose carefully and verify the vehicle’s service record.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Audi Q5?
This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 129 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.76% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $12,253 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Audi Q5's resale value?
The current average of $12,429 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,113 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is exceptionally well maintained and well equipped. If you buy smart now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.56/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2015 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.76% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.56/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a polished used luxury SUV with a comfortable ride, strong feature content, and solid owner approval, the 2015 is the right path to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar Q5 offers a better combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
