2014 ram 3500 lone star edition pricing was very competitive for the miles. Being an ex big truck driver driving trucks with Cummins engines in it I love them. Now going to the pick up truck diesel world the Cummins has great torque built to last for years would highly recommend , to anybody looking to get that first diesel pickup to try a Ram with a Cummins. You want buy any thing else.

Dodge Ram is by far the best pickup a person can buy. Simply put, its the motor design along with the durability of components built in to the chassis and transmission! If you want something that can tow, if your looking for high fuel economy then the Dodge 3500 is your best bet!

See more price trendsIs the 2014 RAM 3500 a good car?
Yes — the 2014 RAM 3500 earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, durability, and towing capabilities, and many also highlight the reliability of the Cummins engine. Reviewers also mention the truck’s handling and appearance as positives. With 2.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you may need to shop carefully to find the best value.
Is the 2014 RAM 3500 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to reliability, dependability, and trouble-free ownership, especially around the Cummins engine. That kind of praise suggests you can count on it for heavy-duty use if it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a truck that has already seen hard work and higher mileage.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 2.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2014 RAM 3500 is a solid choice if you want proven heavy-duty capability, strong owner approval, and the durability buyers associate with this truck. If you’re more price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years and shopping the market closely, since the best deals are limited.
