Should I buy a 2014 Mercedes-Benz M-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used luxury SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price trend, the 2014 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye out for listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against other nearby model years before you commit.
