Used 2010 Chevrolet Impala for Sale near Montreal, QC
3 Overall rating
(4 reviews)The car is in good condition . Good for daily use
This car is a 2010 Chevy impala it is fun to drive and looks quite good with timed windows all around the car gets great gas mileage and the inside is roomy the trunk space is deep and roomy also
Right after the warrenty ran out the front drivers side and the rear drivers side window regulators broke. The piece that holds the cable was made with cheap plastic. All of the Heater/AC actuators broke. They to were made with cheap plastic gears. They said AC DELCO on them and also said MADE IN CHINA. I had to remove the Secondary air injection check valve and clean it. It was stuck closed causing my check engin light to come on. 70,000 miles now and all brake pads need replaced.
My company supplies us the Impala for company business. My territory covers Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. I have been impressed with the overall performance and reliability as well as the appearance. However, I would never purchase one of these cars and have strongly recommended that others NOT purchase it if they will drive long distances. The seats are so hard you cannot hardly spend more than an hour without the tail going numb. My customers and coworkers (that don't have company cars) always make the comment that the seats are hard. All of my coworkers that have the Impala and cover large territories complain about it. It has become a source of conversation when we all get together these days. I had a 2004 that was very comfortable but since then I have had a 2006, 2008, and now a 2010. My wife cannot stand riding in this car very long. I am 50 years old and 6' and 240 lbs but my wife is only 5'4' and about 100 lbs but this doesn't matter. The headrest on the 2010 model also now leans forward making the head lean forward uncomfortably. I have purchased a memory foam cushion from a truck stop to ease the pain of sitting on the hard seat. I also spent about $130 on a sacro-ease seat back. This is money very well spent but it is a shame that this is what it takes to make the Impala tolerable on long trips. Please note that my territory requires driving sometimes 8 hours one way but still even one hour is very tough. I am considering going to a business mileage reimbursement and driving my own vehicle even though it will cost me a lot more money over a year's driving. The bolltom line is why can't GM take a car that performs so well in other areas but in a seat that makes driving it comfortable. I have had both bench and bucket and they both are uncomfortable. My company does not supply the leather option which I read from others is very comfortable. What a shame. The only other complaint is the chrome ring around the shifter on the console. When traveling south late in the afternoon causes the sun to reflect into my eyes. I have to cover it with something when this happens.
