Used 2010 BMW 5 Series 550i Sedan RWD for Sale near Millville, NB

Not every day you get the chance to drive a brand new BMW 520d. (CarIQ doesn't know there are diesel BMW's around one would say). This particular car was my brothers new car. I actually got to drive it for more km's than he drove it: he gave me the wheel at 100km and I gave it back at 160km, while the first 35km were driven by BMW. This car is impressive. Excellent quality feel, superb build quality, state of the art technology and cosy, comfortable interior. I drove the BMW at night in the pouring rain back home. It has an excellent road holding, but not sporty. There were two points of improvement. The first was that the car easily stalls when accelerating from a standstill. The engine seems to lack initial couple to get some movement in the heavy sedan. You have to drive it like a petrol engine: gas and then clutch, which seems awkward in a diesel. The second point of improvement is clearly the steering at higher speeds. To drive the car straight, you have to constantly correct your steering actively to keep driving a straight line. Very annoying. It didn't have anything to do with the pouring rain or winds during part of our drive. Although I wasn't particularly fond of some Bangle-designs, I was disappointed in the styling of this new 5 compared ot the old one. The new one could be mistaken rather easily with a 7, but it doesn't have the same character as the previous 5 series had. The visual drama is not so present. I liked the old one's convex & concave contrasts, while this new one really has nothing special about its looks. A missed opportunity. The old car will remain a design icon.

I love this car i like the power of the car the body luxury & confort is one the best for the year bmw made.

Don't get me wrong, this is the best car I ever drove and ever owned, so I am being very critical. 'Currently own 2000 540i as well and find it to be superior to the 2010 550i in some ways; managed to get 37mpg following speed limit, in cruise on flat (540 does 42mpg), inferior leather stitching and finish compared to 2000 540i, car always trying to learn driving habits to adapt, not good due to daily bumper to bumper traffic commute - needs to be reset frequently - useless feature and annoying, results in eventual slow response, so must always remember to disable DTC and select sports mode, it's all or nothing. or reset the learning thing frequently. After reset, drives like a dream. Other negatives - no engine temp gauge, no sports console, no start lock feature (password code like 540i). A step up in electronics but a step down in workmanship. Having said all that, I drove the 2010 550i M sports pak from Calgary to Montreal (3500mi one way) in 3 days (and drove back of course) was great fun. Did the same from Calgary to Houston, 3 days too. Absolute great all round car for long trips and short speedy runs. Sitting in traffic is much more bearable with the great sound system. Stores CDs MP3 etc on built in 120gb hard drive, nav system is great, love the google maps send to my car feature, love the electric blind screen in the back and close it on tailgaters, the car is tough as nails. I drive tough and hard on my cars, all were done for after a couple of years. I still own and drive my first BMW, If the 550i can put up with my abuse, it's a damn good car. Having said that, they are both V8 engines, not so sure if the smaller engines could take my driving habits.

This is amazing,best car I ever drive. The milage, average etc is also better than the old one I have. I also want to buy BMW 7 series. All cars of this company are best. thanks. very-very thanks to BMW.
