Reviewed a 2009 Mazda s Grand Touring Hatchback on Apr. 06, 2009

Performance: Zoom. Mazda's advertising slogan fits perfectly for the Mazda3. The suspension and chassis tuning are spot on. The steering is well weighted with good feel, and the shifter is smooth. Very entertaining to drive. Engine performance is adequate but torquey. Build quality: I've had several services done to address minor creaks and rattles. Otherwise, the interior is now rattle-free and the materials are high quality. Appearance: Gorgeous. Just look at pictures. Cost: MPG is okay, nothing to write home about. Interior: Phenomenal interior for price segment. What cars can you get leather seats, seat warmers, HID headlights, rain sensing wipers, 17" wheels, and a Bose audio system for under $22k?
